Bonnie Heller, RN-BC , Director of Quality Assurance & Education at Westminster Canterbury, Lynchburg, recently attained certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners.

The Council was formed to promote standards of excellence in dementia education professionals who provide services to dementia clients.

Employed at Westminster Canterbury for 21 years, Heller has served in several nursing administration positions, including Director of Health Services and Director of Nursing. In her current position, she is responsible for assisting the community to maintain compliance with State and Federal regulations and the standards for continued accreditation with CARF-CCAC, Infection Control Quality Assurance and staff education. She is a graduate of Lynchburg General Hospital School of Professional Nursing.
