Lactose intolerance is a problem digesting foods that contain lactose.
Lactose is a naturally occurring sugar found in dairy products such as milk, yogurt and cheese. Many people are able to have these foods and beverages without problem, but some individuals are unable to break this sugar down.
Congratulations to Ashley Jordan, RN, BSN, director of nursing at Westminster Canterbury-Lynchburg (WCL), who has received the Power of Purpose award from LeadingAge Virginia for demonstrating and providing outstanding commitment to residents within their community.
There are many attractive areas within the Westminster Canterbury-Lynchburg campus—some are quite visible, such as the tree-lined drive that leads to our main entrance, while others are more quaint and subtle.
One of the go-to spots for many of our residents is the nature trail. Although you can’t see this trail from the driveway, there has been a lot of time and energy put into it since its conception in 1999.

LYNCHBURG – Two long-term employees of Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg have been promoted to leadership positions in recent months.
Lori R. Sweeney, of Concord, and Ashley N. Jordan, BSN, of Appomattox, are experienced healthcare professionals now leading Westminster’s Health Services Department as Vice President and Director of Nursing respectively.
